Bakersfield, CA (June 25, 2023) – Two victims sustained injuries in a North Chester Avenue hit-and-run crash. According to KGET, authorities received a report about the accident around 12:15 a.m. on Saturday.

The California Highway Patrol responded to a North Chester Avenue hit-and-run crash involving a black Chevrolet pick-up truck and two pedestrians on North Chester Avenue between Lincoln and Ferguson Avenues.
Two victims incurred significant injuries from the crash.
According to the responding deputies, a black Chevrolet pick-up truck struck two pedestrians crossing Chester Avenue north of Decatur Street in the number one lane.
The collision propelled both victims onto the road. They were then sent to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver fled the scene after causing the accident.
Authorities believed the vehicle was an older model with at least a 6-inch lift, heading west on Washington Street.
Moreover, the CHP is still investigating this North Chester Avenue hit-and-run crash and is looking for the hit-and-run driver who caused the collision.
