The San Diego Police Department responded to a car crash involving a Toyota Corolla and BMW X3 near the Interstate 5 freeway exit.
Authorities said a 39-year-old woman, driving a Toyota Corolla, was heading northbound on Interstate 15 freeway towards Camino del Norte.
According to the police, the woman failed to stop at the red light and turned right.
Simultaneously, a 57-year-old woman driving east in her BMW X3, entered the intersection on a green light.
Based on the report, the BMW X3 driver was hit by the Toyota Corolla driver.
Both women were transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for several fractures. Their injuries, while significant, are non-life-threatening.
