Sutter County Multi-Car Crash Left a Man, an Unborn Child, and a Dog Fatal on Acacia Avenue in Sutter County.
Sutter County, CA (July 5, 2023) – A man, an unborn child, and a dog succumbed to fatal injuries in a Sutter County multi-car crash on Acacia Avenue. Another victim also sustained significant injuries. According to Fox40, the accident occurred about around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
A Sutter County multi-car crash left a man, an unborn child, and a dog fatally injured along SR-20 east of Acacia Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal Sutter County car crash Nissan Versa, a Chevy Tahoe, and a Ford F-150 truck along SR-20 east of Acacia Avenue Sutter County.
The accident resulted in the fatalities of a man, an unborn child, and a dog.
According to authorities, the 30-year-old Nissan driver, with a pregnant woman and a dog, crossed the double yellow lines from the east lanes on SR-20 and entered the path of Tahoe, causing the two vehicles to collide in the westbound lane.
A Ford truck towing a dump trailer traveling behind the Tahoe also hit the back of the vehicle due to the impact of the crash.
The Nissan driver and his 23-year-old pregnant passenger were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated. Paramedics brought the pregnant woman to Adventist Health Rideout, and her unborn child was confirmed dead.
Furthermore, responders airlifted the Nissan driver to Sutter Roseville Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The dog also lost its life at Northpointe Animal Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Chevy Tahoe driver suffered minor injuries, while the driver of the Ford did not sustain any injuries.
