Visalia, CA (August 15, 2023) – Three people sustained fatal injuries after being struck in a Visalia truck crash. According to ABC30, the collision occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Monday.
Three people sustained fatal injuries in a Visalia truck accident on Highway 198 Near Plaza Drive.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal Visalia truck crash on westbound Highway 198 near Plaza Drive involving a 2004 Ford truck and three people.
According to the authorities, the truck overturned on the highway, ending up on the shoulder of the road.
Consequently, a man and a woman in the truck were thrown from the vehicle. In addition, the officers said they were not wearing seatbelts.
Unfortunately, the man who stayed in the truck died at the scene.
The investigation has not determined if drugs or alcohol influenced the incident.
UPDATE: Authorities recently identified the three fatalities as 23-year-old Marialuz Zarate, 30-year-old Joshua Diaz, and 30-year-old Cody Robison.
