According to California Highway Patrol Officer Tyler Hahn, a 2004 Honda Pilot SUV on southbound I-680 at the Sunol Boulevard off-ramp left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Additionally, the driver of the Honda, a man, informed investigators that he was traveling at approximately 65 mph when the right rear tire experienced a blowout, causing the vehicle to veer to the left.
The driver then lost control, and the Honda swerved back to the right, crossing all traffic lanes.
Subsequently, the vehicle became briefly airborne before colliding with a tree along the right shoulder.
As a result, two adults, not wearing seat belts, succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene of this I-60 solo crash. One was ejected through the rear window, while the other was in a back seat.
A third person also died at a hospital. However, CHP has not released the names of the deceased individuals pending notification of their relatives.

Furthermore, CHP is still investigating the cause of this I-680 solo crash.
