Bakersfield, CA (January 16, 2024) – Rodolfo Pulgarin Monarrez (18) and another man suffered fatal injuries in a Highway 99 truck crash after the truck veered off the road and crashed into a pillar. According to KGET, the collision occurred on Sunday morning.

Rodolfo Pulgarin Monarrez, 18-year-old, and another victim died in a Highway 99 truck crash after the truck they were riding in veered off the road and crashed into a pillar.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two were traveling southbound in a Ford truck on the highway when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle swerved off the road, hitting a metal guardrail.
Consequently, the impact propelled the truck southwards until it smashed into a concrete pillar of the Wible Road over-crossing.
Unfortunately, both men were declared dead on the scene.
One of the victims was identified as Rodolfo Pulgarin Monarrez by his family. Per the family’s statement, both men were welders en route to fetch some equipment from their office for a job in Coalinga.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to help with Rodolfo Pulgarin Monarrez’s funeral expenses.
As of now, the investigation of this Highway 99 truck crash remains active.
