The fatal collision occurred on the Interstate 15 southbound off-ramp to Old Highway 396 in the Bonsall area.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Thomas Carl Asper was driving a Toyota SUV southbound on Old Highway 395 when a Jaguar XF, driven by an 18-year-old woman, collided with the Toyota at the intersection.
Unfortunately, the impact caused the Toyota to roll over, ejecting the driver from the vehicle.
Despite efforts, Thomas Carl Asper succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the woman, a resident of Wildomar, California, emerged from the incident unharmed.
