Pismo Beach, CA (February 28, 2024) – Taylor Brard (31) of Atascadero died in an Oceano Dunes crash involving a recreational off-highway vehicle in Pismo Beach. According to KSBY, the crash occurred at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Taylor Brard, a 31-year-old Atascadero resident, succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene of an Oceano Dunes crash, as confirmed by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, one passenger sustained injuries from the crash.
State Parks reports staff were notified of the collision involving a recreational off-highway vehicle near Sand Highway 22, where rangers reportedly found the side-by-side at the bottom of what was described as a “large bowl” with visible damage to its roll cage.
Initially, bystanders performed CPR on the driver. Rangers then took over and executed life-saving measures until CAL FIRE crews arrived, but the driver, Taylor Brard, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the passenger was reportedly taken by helicopter to the hospital for treatment of injuries said not to be life-threatening.
Moreover, State Parks says no other vehicles were involved in this Oceano Dunes crash.
