San Luis Obispo, CA (March 11, 2024) – A Creston Road hit-and-run killed one and severely injured two other passengers while the driver of their vehicle fled the scene. According to the Paso Robles Daily News, the crash occurred at around 12:29 a.m. on Monday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on Creston Road west of Neil Springs Road. An unidentified driver was traveling eastbound at a high speed when, for reasons yet to be determined, they reportedly allowed the vehicle to veer off the road, causing it to overturn several times.
During the rollover, three passengers were ejected from the vehicle. One passenger, who remains unidentified at this time but was reportedly 43 and from Santa Maria, died as a result.
Meanwhile, the other two passengers, identified as Aliandro Torres Gomez, 47, and Carlos S. Torres Diaz, 41, both from Paso Robles, sustained significant injuries. Responders then took them via ambulance to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.
Moreover, the driver reportedly fled the scene and remains at large. Authorities have also launched a search operation to locate the driver.
Furthermore, the California Highway Patrol Templeton Area Office leads the investigation into this Creston Road hit-and-run. It is currently unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
