According to the California Highway Patrol, a Land Rover was traveling south on Highway 41 and attempting to merge onto the connector to westbound 180.
However, the driver failed to navigate the turn, veering off the road and into an encampment where Ervin Price was residing.
Price sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, officers initially arrested a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of driving under the influence, believing her to be the driver of the Land Rover.
However, further investigation into this Fresno hit-and-run revealed that she was a passenger in the vehicle, and she has since been released.
Moreover, authorities are now actively searching for the Land Rover driver, whose identity has not yet been disclosed.
