A Los Angeles Car Crash Left a 25-Year-Old Man Fatal After Being Hit By a Speeding Vehicle
Los Angeles, CA (April 17, 2024) – A Los Angeles car crash in the Hyde Park neighborhood killed a 25-year-old man after a speeding vehicle hit his sedan. According to KTLA, the crash occurred at around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

A Los Angeles car crash claimed the life of a 25-year-old male driver after his vehicle collided with a speeding car.
According to Los Angeles Police Department Detective Gerald Chavarria, a black BMW SUV was traveling westbound on West Florence Avenue at a high speed. Upon reaching the intersection of Crenshaw Blvd., it collided with the side of a gray sedan.
Chavarria said that evidence indicated that the SUV had also run the red light.
The impact caused the sedan to spin out of control, eventually stopping approximately 70 to 80 feet from the crash site.
Unfortunately, the driver of the sedan, identified only as a 25-year-old man, succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver remained and was detained in the back of a patrol vehicle as police investigated.
“We are going to talk to him and determine if any crimes occurred other than the red light violation,” stated Chavarria.
Moreover, further assessments at the scene revealed that the SUV driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
While witnesses suggested the SUV driver may have been racing another vehicle, Chavarria clarified that while the SUV was traveling at a high speed, any racing allegations would be subject to investigation.
Furthermore, this Los Angeles car crash remains under investigation.
