Fresno, CA (May 8, 2024) – Shaylee Henry (31) of Fresno killed and another hospitalized in a hit-and-run near Fashion Fair Mall after a fleeing driver hit them. According to the Fresno Bee, the crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

Shaylee Henry, 31, of Fresno, died, and another was hospitalized in a hit-and-run near Fashion Fair Mall after a driver fleeing the police hit them.
The incident unfolded behind the baseball backstop at Cary Park, located just south of the mall.
Police revealed that the crash occurred following a failed traffic stop, during which the suspect vehicle’s driver initiated a brief pursuit with officers. Despite the pursuit being canceled, the driver continued through the Fashion Fair parking lot, ultimately jumping a curb and striking Shaylee Henry and the man.
Unfortunately, Henry died due to the impact, while a 30-year-old man sustained injuries from the crash. However, he is now in stable condition at a hospital.
Subsequently, the car veered into a neighborhood west of the mall, colliding with a telephone pole. Both the driver and a passenger fled the scene and remained at large despite extensive efforts by officers to locate them.

A GoFundMe campaign has also been launched to fund Henry’s funeral expenses.
