Audrey Jawor Killed in a Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Healdsburg
Healdsburg, CA (February 9, 2022) – Audrey Jawor (25) sustained fatal injuries after getting involved in a crash on 101 in Healdsburg. The incident happened at around 1:38 pm on Monday.
According to authorities, a Dodge pickup truck struck Jawor’s black Hyundai SUV as it drove southbound on 101 between Healdsburg Avenue and Old Redwood Highway. Responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, both the driver and front seat passenger of the SUV received minor to moderate injuries. Then, responders took them to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Authorities closed the southbound lanes for investigation.
Audrey Jawor died at the scene after a two-vehicle crash on the 101.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that the driver of the Dodge pickup truck was driving at an unsafe speed. He went too fast, considering that vehicles ahead of him were slowing down due to road construction.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer David deRutte said, “The roadway construction was further south from the crash location and both southbound lanes were open at the time. The Dodge didn’t slow while approaching slower moving vehicles and collided with a white Subaru and a black Hyundai Tucson.”
The Dodge’s driver cooperated with authorities. They also shared that they don’t believe that alcohol or drugs were involved in this incident.
