Teenager Jose Castillo Got Killed in a Fatal Crash in Concord, CA
Concord, CA (March 1, 2022) – Jose Castillo (16) died after getting hit by multiple vehicles on the intersection of Clayton Street and Galindo Road in Concord. According to Fox 11, the incident happened at around 3:30 pm on Friday.
According to authorities, the crash happened when Castillo was riding his bicycle from Mount Diablo High School. Then, responders pronounced Castillo dead at the scene. Four other people got involved in the crash. However, they weren’t taken to the hospital.
16-year-old Jose Castillo got into the collision while riding his bicycle from school.
The school’s principal Lorne Barbosa said, “We’re still coming out of the pandemic and there’s already been a lot of loss for our students, for our families.”
Castillo’s cousin Jorge Reyes Castillo set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for funeral costs. People placed candles and flowers around the area in memory of Castillo.
Castillo’s untimely death happened just a couple of months after he moved from El Salvador. Police arrested one of the drivers involved in the incident for vehicular manslaughter.
