Father Jose Palacios and Daughter Samantha Palacios Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Long Beach
Long Beach, CA (March 2, 2022) – Jose Palacios (42) and Samantha Palacios (3) got killed by a pickup truck that crashed into their apartment building in Long Beach. According to Spectrum News 1, the incident happened at around 10:00 pm on Tuesday at 6600 Rose Avenue.
According to authorities, the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene after the crash. They said that the truck was a 2014 Dodge Ram. It traveled northbound on Rose avenue at a high speed. Then, the Ram went off the road and hit the apartment building. Both Jose and Samantha were inside the building.
Responders arrived, but Jose died at the scene. They took Samantha to the hospital. However, she also died due to her injuries.

Family and friends got together to grieve the loss. Samantha’s uncle Francisco Ramirez said to NBC Los Angeles, “Samantha was a beautiful girl… “She (will) stay in my heart always, the rest of my life.”
Neighbors also mourned with the family. According to NBC Los Angeles, they came together and placed candles near the family’s home. “The mother of the baby, she says, ‘Help, help me, please, my baby,'” neighbor Neldi Moran recalled.
