Missing Student Chris Liang Died in a Crash on Interstate 5 in Fresno
Fresno, CA (March 7, 2022) – Missing University of San Francisco student Chris Liang (21) died after a deadly accident on Interstate 5 in Fresno. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) told ABC 30 that the crash happened between February 28 and March 5.
The CHP received information about a crash along Panoche Road, which was southbound on Interstate 5. Then, authorities found a Tesla overturned in a ditch. Then, they found Chris Liang who was already dead in the vehicle.
Chris Liang rented out a Tesla for a road trip before going missing.
Liang had rented out a 2020 Tesla Model 3. According to reports, it was last traced to a charging station in Firebaugh around southbound Interstate 5. Before going missing, Liang planned to go on an impulsive road trip from San Francisco to Irvine.
