Pedestrian Eligia Del Rosario Morales and Julian Ros Died After a Collision on Hayes and Roosevelt Streets in Riverside, CA
Riverside, CA (March 16, 2022) – Eligia Del Rosario Morales (53) and Julian Ros (2) died after they got hit by a 2020 Range Rover on Hayes and Roosevelt Streets in Riverside. According to CBS LA, the incident happened at around 3:50 pm on Tuesday.
According to reports, Del Rosario Morales walked with two kids, Julian and Margerita Ros (7). Then, a 46-year-old driver turned towards Roosevelt street, hitting the three pedestrians who were walking across the roadway. Del Rosario Morales and Julian died at the scene.
Eligia Del Rosario Morales and the two children were walking home from school when the accident happened.
Meanwhile, Margerita sustained minor injuries. Responders transported her to a hospital for medical care. Margerita had been released from the hospital. On the other hand, the 46-year-old driver sustained no injuries and cooperated with investigations. Right now, authorities don’t think alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident.
Family and friends of the victim made a memorial to mourn the loss. Del Rosario Morales’s son shared with CBS LA, “My mom, simply put, was an angel… She helped everyone the best she could and anyway she could. If my mom couldn’t help someone, she wouldn’t be able to sleep at night knowing she couldn’t.”
Julian’s father also said, “He had so much life to live… We had so many plans for him.”
