Madera, CA (April 21, 2022) – Destiny Salinas (16), Danielle Mesta (33), Edgar Garza Jr.(28), and Jovonie Gonzales (30) were identified as fatalities in a two-car accident on Highway 41 in Madera. According to the Fresno Bee, the incident happened sometime before midnight on Friday (April 8)
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the site of the accident was on Highway 41 somewhere near Highway 145. As stated in the Fresno Bee, CHP officers shared that the cars involved were a four-door black Honda Accord and possibly a two-door Scion tC.
Destiny Salinas, Danielle Mesta, Edgar Garza Jr., and Jovonie Gonzales were involved in a two-car accident. However, it’s unclear which of them were drivers and passengers.
They indicated that two occupants were in each car, but they couldn’t determine which of the victims were drivers and passengers. All of the victims were Fresno residents.
Also, the CHP shared that the cars caught fire after the accident due to the impact. Right now, the officer in charge of this case’s investigation is on leave due to injury. So far, details of the accident are still unclear.
