Los Angeles, CA (May 3, 2022) – Jadelynn Kwok (18) and Michael Fiorillo (24) died in a hit-and-run accident on 91 Freeway near Compton in Los Angeles. According to ABC 7, the incident happened at around 12:30 am on Saturday (April 30).
Couple Jadelynn Kwok and Michael Fiorillo identified as fatalities in a hit-and-run crash on 91 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), an unknown driver went eastbound on 91 Freeway near Acacia Avenue. Then, the driver hit Kwok and Fiorillo’s vehicle which caused the couple’s demise. Investigators also noted that the unknown driver’s vehicle is a Honda.
Since the accident, Kwok and Fiorillo’s loved ones have visited the accident site everyday to place candles and flowers. Family remembered Kwok as a caring person. Kwok’s sister Mikaylee Kwok shared with ABC 7, “her smile made everybody happy.”
“She was like a sense of home. She’s so goofy. She made everybody laugh. Everybody who was around her was always happy. She lit up everybody’s world,” she continued.
Kwok’s brother Ethan Kwok also shared, “she always did everything for me.” “When I was hungry, she always got me food. Even when she couldn’t be home, she always got me food somehow, and I just love her. She was really kind,” he shared.

The couple’s family and friends set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for funeral costs. They stated in the page, “they were loved by their parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins and everyone that knew them. They brought so much joy and happiness and a sense of home to everyone that knew them. Jade and Michael enjoyed doing what they do best.”
At the moment, the Honda’s driver is still at large. According to reports shared with ABC 7, the unknown driver went out of his car to pick up debris after the crash and drove off without providing assistance to the victims.
