Christian De Oro Sustained Severe Injuries in Arleta Hit-and-Run Crash in Los Angeles
Arleta, CA (June 11, 2022) – An Arleta hit-and-run accident left Christian De Oro (43) severely injured four days before his daughter’s high school graduation. According to ABC 7, the accident happened along Osborne Street on Sunday morning.
According to authorities, two suspects drove a stolen U-Haul van westbound on Osborne Street. Then, the van ran a red light near Beachy Avenue and hit De Oro’s Toyota Yaris. Authorities then got hold of surveillance video that captured the crash. At the moment, the two suspects are still at large.

Los Angeles Police Department Det. Josh Wade shared in a statement with ABC 7, “They didn’t attempt to render any aid to the victim or exchange any information.”
Responders transported De Oro to Holy Cross Medical Center for major injuries. He then received multiple surgeries for his injuries. Also, this crash happened four days before his daughter’s high school graduation.
De Oro is the father of three kids and serves as his mother’s caretaker. He also regularly assists his mother with her weekly dialysis.
De Oro’s family set up a GoFundMe page to help with his medical expenses.
