Fatal Berkeley Motorcycle Accident Left James Street Dead
Berkeley, CA (June 17, 2022) – Authorities identified James Street (52) of Berkeley as the fatality in a motorcycle accident in Berkeley on Sunday. According to Mercury News, the accident reportedly happened around 12:03 am.
James Street apparently lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a median.
Authorities received reports of a motorcycle crash on Adeline Street in Berkeley on Sunday.
Later, the victim was identified as James Street of Berkeley. He worked as an assistant supervisor in the city’s Public Works Department sewer maintenance division.

Despite attempts at life-saving measures, authorities pronounced Street dead at the scene.
Following the unfortunate incident, the Berkeley City Council opened its meeting with memorial remarks to honor James Street’s longtime service to the city.
“James Street, who went by JT, was skilled in his work and wanted to do his best. He was an integral part of Public Works’ Streets & Utilities Division for 19 years, sharing his knowledge with others along the way.”
“This loss is felt not just in the city organization but throughout South Berkeley. He was a longtime part of our community,” said Berkeley’s Mayor Jesse Arreguín, as he sent his heartfelt condolences to Street’s family and fellow city staff.
Aside from prayers, Street’s colleagues also shared their fond memories of him.
