A Man Suffered Multiple Injuries After Azusa Fireworks Explosion in Los Angeles County
Azusa, CA (July 5, 2022) – An Azusa fireworks explosion at 18000 Glenlyn Drive left a man with multiple injuries, including burns and lacerations. According to CBS Los Angeles, the explosion happened at around 9:00 pm on Monday.

According to authorities, the victim suffered multiple lacerations throughout his face and arms. Also, he sustained severe but non-life-threatening burns. Then, paramedics responded to the explosion and transported the victim to a hospital.
One of the neighbors, T. Mia Flores, said to CBS Los Angeles, “the guy had blood on his face and a chunk of his head missing.” Authorities also obtained surveillance footage showing the victim in pain at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating the explosion. Right now, they are unsure if the fireworks involved in the blast were legal. They also noted that a similar explosion in Montebello involving illegal fireworks left a fatality.
The LA County Fire Department officials also shared with CBS Los Angeles that so far into 2022, they’ve seized around 30,000 pounds of illegal fireworks.
