A tow truck driver, who was helping a stranded motorist, sustained fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident in Glendale.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian accident occurred on the southbound side of the 5 Freeway, resulting in a driver’s fatality.
Based on the reports, the tow truck driver stopped on the freeway to help a stranded motorist. He tried to load up the disabled vehicle onto his tow truck when a Nissan Versa hit him.
Unfortunately, the tow truck driver died due to the impact of the crash.
Meanwhile, the Nissan driver was identified as Rachel Fewings.
As per CHP, Fewings and the driver of the malfunctioning car stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the investigation.
