San Bernardino County, CA (March 31, 2024) – Alicia M. Ramos (43) and two children suffered fatal injuries after a 15 Freeway crash near Baker in San Bernardino County. According to The Orange County Register, the police received reports about the crash at about 1:40 p.m. on Saturday.

Alicia M. Ramos, 43, and two other children died in a 15 Freeway crash near Bakers, as confirmed by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident unfolded when the driver of a 2019 Kia, carrying five other passengers, was traveling south on the freeway amidst the downpour.
The Kia hydroplaned near Halloran Springs Road, veering across the southbound lanes, traversing the median, and entering the northbound lanes, colliding head-on with a 2016 Mercedes SUV occupied by four individuals.
Unfortunately, a woman and a 13-year-old boy from Madera, a town near Fresno, who were passengers in the Kia, along with an 11-year-old boy from Los Angeles who was in the Mercedes, lost their lives in the collision.
Alicia M. Ramos was identified by the authorities, but they did not immediately release the names of the boys.
In addition to the fatalities, authorities transported seven other individuals to nearby hospitals for treatment, including:
- the 52-year-old Kia driver,
- Kia passengers aged 3, 7, and 19,
- 15-year-old Mercedes passenger
- The 38-year-old Mercedes driver.
Police have also yet to identify the speed of the Kia prior to the accident.
