Alyssa Aragon-Ramirez Killed After Fatal Crash in Cerritos
Cerritos, CA (February 21, 2022) – Alyssa Aragon-Ramirez (26) died after getting involved in a two-vehicle accident on the 605 in Cerritos. According to ABC 7, the crash happened at around 2:20 am on Friday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a witness reported that a Hyundai Elantra made a U-turn for unknown reasons. Then, the Elantra went in the wrong direction and hit Aragon-Ramirez’s vehicle.
A driver made a U-turn and hit Alyssa Aragon-Ramirez’s vehicle.
After the crash, both vehicles caught fire. The Elantra’s male driver died after getting trapped in his burning vehicle. Meanwhile, someone at the scene rescued Aragon-Ramirez. He performed CPR on her, but she later died at the scene as well.
Aragon-Ramirez’s boyfriend Jonathan Chairez expressed his grief over the loss. He said, “I just want to know why her? It’s too soon. She had so much life. It’s just hard. It’s just so hard.”
Aragon-Ramirez’s family set up a GoFundMe page to cover funeral costs. Aragon-Ramirez’s mother served in the Air Force for over 23 years. Also, Aragon-Ramirez has siblings who are both currently enlisted
