Aniesha Dotson Killed in Highway 242 Pedestrian Crash in Contra Costa County
Contra Costa County, CA (July 28, 2023) – Aniesha Dotson (38) of Pleasant Hill sustained fatal injuries in the Highway 242 pedestrian crash near Concord. According to Mercury News, the crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on June 1.
Aniesha Dotson succumbed to fatal injuries in a Highway 242 pedestrian crash after being hit by a vehicle south of the Clayton Road exit.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal Highway 242 DUI crash south of the Clayton Road exit near Concord, leaving a woman on foot fatally injured.
The Contra Costa County coroner’s office identified the victim as 38-year-old Aniesha Dotson of Pleasant Hill.
According to the report, a Lexus IS-250 traveling southbound on the highway hit Dotson, who was crossing the lane.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, a passenger in the Lexus sustained minor injuries while the driver remained unharmed.
As the investigation is ongoing, the CHP has yet to determine the reason behind Dotson’s presence on the roadway at the time of the collision.
The authorities are still examining further details surrounding the circumstances of this Highway 242 pedestrian crash.
