A tragic Antelope collision occurred overnight on Wednesday, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old driver’s life and causing two others to sustain significant injuries.
Authorities confirmed the driver’s identity as 16-year-old Reuben Anikhimik.
According to the California Highway Patrol North Sacramento Station, the 16-year-old driver traveled westbound on Antelope, just east of North Antelope Road, with a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl.
The sedan then abruptly changed lanes, moving directly in front of a pickup truck traveling in the same direction. Due to the crash’s impact, the sedan lost control and collided with a nearby pole.
Responders transported all three minors to the hospital. Unfortunately, the teen driver succumbed to fatal injuries on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck did not sustain any injuries.
Furthermore, the 14-year-old female passenger remained hospitalized on Thursday.
Moreover, authorities have stated that they do not suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in this Antelope collision.
J&M Tip: In case of a car accident with a teen, the parents may be liable for the damages of the crash. However, this is only true if the minor’s negligent action caused the crash.

More About Car Accident Liability
