Los Angeles, CA (July 1, 2023) – An Arcadia hit-and-run crash left a pedestrian with fatal injuries. According to FOX11, the crash occurred around 11:26 p.m. on Friday.

The Arcadia Police Department reported a hit-and-run crash in Arcadia street, leaving a 28-year-old pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.
The pedestrian reportedly died at the scene.
According to the authorities, the driver of the vehicle was seen speeding near Huntington Drive and Santa Clara Avenue and attempted a traffic stop at Huntington Drive and First Avenue.
Sgt. Adam Hernandez of Arcadia Police stated that “As officers attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop on the vehicle, the suspect suddenly accelerated through the red light and struck a pedestrian, who was in the crosswalk.”
Furthermore, when they stopped to provide aid to the victim, the suspect fled the accident scene.
The officers discovered the implicated vehicle nearby and located a 17-year-old San Bernardino suspect hiding in shrubs.
