Pregnant Woman Identified as Asherey Ryan and Son Alozo Among the Six Fatalities in Windsor Hills Multi-Vehicle Crash
Windsor Hills, CA (August 5, 2022) – Asherey Ryan (23) was identified as one of the six fatalities in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on La Brea and Slauson Avenues in Windsor Hills. According to FOX LA, the crash was reported around 1:40 pm on Thursday.
Asherey Ryan, her unborn child, and her son Alonzo were identified among the six fatalities in the Windsor Hills fiery multi-vehicle crash. Eight other victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to initial reports of a fire on La Brea and Slauson Avenues in Windsor Hills. When they arrived, several vehicles were engulfed in flames and caused a commercial fire after a multi-vehicle crash.
Six victims reportedly died at the scene. One of the victims was a pregnant woman identified as Asherey Ryan. Her unborn child and her son named Alonzo also died in the crash.
Responding officers took eight other victims to UCLA Medical Center due to non-life-threatening injuries. Most of the injured victims were children and teenagers.
In footage taken from the scene, it showed a speeding Mercedes-Benz running a red light and then crashing into a sedan. The sedan then struck several other vehicles causing a multi-vehicle crash in the intersection. The Mercedes-Benz and two other cars caught fire after the wreck.
The speeding driver was hospitalized due to major injuries. Authorities identified her as Nicole Linton, a traveling nurse at a medical center in West Los Angeles. The California Highway Patrol reported that she was arrested for multiple criminal charges on Friday.
