Campo, CA (November 27, 2023) – Austin Nathaniel Spirz (26) of Campo succumbed to fatal injuries in a Campo hit-and-run after a Jeep Wrangler hit him. According to Fox5 San Diego, the accident occurred around 5:28 p.m. on November 23.

Austin Nathaniel Spirz, a 26-year-old Campo resident on a motorcycle, died at the scene after a Jeep Wrangler struck him on Thursday, as confirmed by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Jared Grieshaber, a 45-year-old man, driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, was heading westbound on Sheridan Rd when his vehicle veered into the eastbound lane and collided with a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, Austin Nathaniel Spirz, succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Jeep fled the scene after the collision.
Furthermore, efforts by authorities led to the arrest of the hit-and-run suspect, a 45-year-old whose identity hasn’t been disclosed, on Friday. Police booked him into San Diego County Jail.
