Canoga Park, CA (January 7, 2024) – A Canoga Park multi-vehicle crash in the 7600 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard left two fatally injured and four others hospitalized. According to KTLA, the crash occurred around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred in Canoga Park’s 7600 block on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
Unfortunately, a man and a woman, whose ages remain unknown, were declared dead on the spot. Reportedly, they were found trapped in the wreckage following the collision.
Meanwhile, emergency services transported two other individuals to local hospitals due to their critical condition. The other victims received minor injuries that didn’t require hospital transport.
According to the authorities, three vehicles were in motion at the time of the crash, while one was parked on Topanga Canyon.
Sergeant Rich Brunson of the Los Angeles Police Department stated that an older-model Honda Civic crossed into the northbound lanes while traveling southbound, causing it to collide with a Toyota Camry.
Consequently, this collision led to the Honda Civic’s rotation, ejecting the driver and resulting in the instantaneous death of the right-front passenger.
Sgt. Brunson indicated speed as a significant factor in this Canoga Park multi-vehicle crash.
As of 7 a.m., authorities reopened the section of the 7600 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
