Casey Fryer of Hemet died after a Hemet motorcycle crash on Fairview Avenue, just north of Bautista Canyon Road.
A Hemet motorcycle crash claimed the life of a 35-year-old motorcyclist who died after colliding with a pickup truck south of Hemet, authorities reported on Wednesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Casey Fryer of Hemet sustained fatal injuries at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on Fairview Avenue, just north of Bautista Canyon Road.
Officer Jonathan Torres also stated that Fryer was riding a 2024 Kawasaki northbound on Fairview at an unconfirmed speed when he inexplicably drifted over the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic.
On the other hand, the driver of a southbound Dodge Ram pickup took evasive action by turning to the right but could not avoid the crash.
Fryer’s bike then collided with the pickup, throwing him onto the roadway and causing catastrophic injuries.
Consequently, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics pronounced Fryer dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the pickup driver, identified only as a 37-year-old Hemet man, was not injured. CHP officers also questioned him, but subsequently allowed him to leave.
Moreover, the investigation into this Hemet motorcycle crash is ongoing. Anyone with information may contact the CHP San Gorgonio office at 951-846-5300.
J&M Tip: A biker not wearing protection risks dying or being seriously hurt in an accident. It is possible to get compensation for various costs in these circumstances, including funeral costs.

When to Hire a Lawyer for a Motorcycle Accident
You don’t always need to hire a motorcycle accident lawyer, especially if the property damage is minimal and parties can resolve the issue amicably. However, if the accident results in injuries or significant losses, consulting an attorney is advisable, as legal representation can enhance your chances of securing maximum compensation.
Here are key reasons to consider hiring a motorcycle accident lawyer:
Injuries and Significant Property Damage
If the insurance provider determines you lack evidence to link your injuries to the accident, your case could be dismissed. A motorcycle accident lawyer can justify the cause of your injuries and assess all damages, including vehicle repair costs, future medical expenses, lost wages, potential loss of income, and loss of life enjoyment, to ensure you receive fair compensation.
Disputed Liability
The at-fault party’s insurance provider will always look for ways to reduce your settlement or dismiss your claim completely. In cases where liability is contested, legal counsel can help collect proof, speak with witnesses, and build a compelling case to prove liability.
Complex Legal Issues
Sometimes, multiple legal issues can hinder you from receiving compensation. This can occur if multiple parties are involved in the crash, if you lack sufficient evidence, or if you miss necessary medical treatment. However, a lawyer can handle these complexities and protect your rights.
Going to Court
While most motorcycle accident claims are resolved through out-of-court settlements, your case may go to trial if there are unresolved legal issues. Legal representation is crucial in such scenarios, as an attorney will persuasively argue your case, present evidence, cross-examine witnesses, and represent you in court.
After a motorcycle accident, it is imperative to hire legal counsel if you have severe injuries, a dispute in liability, or intricate legal matters. A lawyer’s knowledge and experience ensure you get the justice you deserve and that you receive the compensation you deserve.
