Concord, CA (February 12, 2024) – Cassandra Spain (62) of Santa Rosa died in a Highway 242 car crash near Concord after sustaining injuries in a two-vehicle collision. According to Patch, police received a report about the crash at 7:36 a.m. on Sunday.

According to the California Highway Patrol and the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred on the southbound section of SR-242, just south of Clayton Road.
Further, an initial investigation indicated that the accident happened when a BMW SUV and a Ford sedan, each with one passenger, collided while moving south on SR-242.
Sadly, the driver of the Ford suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the driver as Cassandra Spain.
Meanwhile, the BMW driver did not sustain any injuries.
