Fountain Valley, CA (July 9, 2023) – Caysen Robinson (20), a Cal State Long Beach Student, sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck in a Fountain Valley hit-and-run incident on July 4. According to KTLA, the incident occurred around 10:25 pm.
Caysen Robinson, a 20-year-old student of Cal State Long Beach, suffers life-threatening injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fountain Valley.
Authorities are now seeking the driver responsible for the hit-and-run incident near Bushard Street and Columbus Court in Fountain Valley that left a 20-year-old student with life-threatening injuries.
The 20-year-old, now identified as Caysen Robinson, is currently fighting for his life at the UC Irvine Medical Center after sustaining leg injuries, facial fractures, and a heart rupture.
The victim’s mother, Marelise, shared in an interview with KTLA that it is a miracle that her son was able to survive despite the severity of his injuries.
According to reports, Caysen was on his way home from holiday festivities when a driver struck him in the bicycle lane and then fled the scene.
Witnesses and bystanders immediately came to help him before authorities and first responders arrived.
Police have identified the vehicle involved as a 2014 or 2019 Toyota Highlander due to several car parts left at the scene.
Right now, Caysen’s family is devastated and seeks the public’s help in identifying the hit-and-run driver that caused this unfortunate incident.
A GoFundMe page has also been set up to aid in Caysen’s medical expenses.
