Chou Vang Killed in Fresno Hit-and-Run Crash
Fresno, CA (February 8, 2022) – Chou Vang (72) died in a hit-and-run crash at Belmont and Chestnut avenues in Fresno on Monday.
According to authorities, Vang was going northbound on Belmont Avenue. Then, a pickup truck ran a red light and hit Vang’s vehicle. Responders pronounced Vang dead at the scene. However, the other occupant of Vang’s vehicle sustained severe injuries. Responders took this person to the hospital.
Chou Vang died when a pickup truck crashed into his vehicle.
Investigators identified the pickup truck driver as a 29-year-old man. After the crash, he tried to leave the scene on foot. However, bystanders helped track and locate him. Later, police were able to take him into custody.
