CHP Pursuit Resulted in La Puente Crash, Leaving a Civilian Hospitalized
La Puente, CA (June 11, 2023) – A civilian was hospitalized and a nearby property was damaged after a CHP pursuit led to a La Puente crash. According to the LA Times, the crash occurred around 5:00 pm on Saturday.
A civilian was sent to the hospital and a private front yard was damaged after a CHP pursuit resulted in a La Puente crash.
A pursuit led by two California Highway Patrol cars resulted in a La Puente crash.
One civilian had to be hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. A nearby property was also damaged after the CHP patrol cars crashed into its concrete fence.
According to reports, the pursuit started around 4:40 pm when a westbound motorcyclist in the San Gabriel Valley sped off after officers attempted to pull them over.
The crash then occurred around 12 minutes later at the intersection of Hacienda Boulevard and Ector Street.
An unrelated civilian vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant, while one of the two CHP patrol cars crashed into a front yard of a La Puente home.
Responders took the civilian to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Nestor Rendon, a resident of the damaged property from the crash, said to ABC7, “I see two Highway Patrols in the front yard right by my mom’s room, and I run to check on her. She was fine, thank God.”
Police eventually caught the motorcyclist walking down the street from the crash around 5:20 p.m.
