Crenshaw Hit-and-Run Left a Grandfather Fatal and His Grandson Injured in the Crenshaw Neighborhood of South Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (July 15, 2023) – Marco Tulio Santizo (85) succumbed to fatal injuries in a Crenshaw hit-and-run in the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw neighborhood. His grandson also sustained injuries from the collision. According to ABC7, the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.
A Crenshaw hit-and-run left a grandfather dead and his grandson injured after being struck by a driver in the Crenshaw neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a fatal Crenshaw hit-and-run involving a vehicle and two men on foot in the 4200 block of Santa Rosalia Drive in South Los Angeles.
One pedestrian succumbed to his injuries, while the other victim sustained injuries from the crash.
The authorities identified the fatality as 85-year-old Marco Tulio Santizo.
According to reports, the pedestrians were coming home from work as they crossed West Boulevard when a vehicle traveling east on West Santa Rosalia Drive collided with them and fled.
Unfortunately, the 85-year-old victim died at the scene. His 41-year-old grandson, Marco Tulio Herrera Santizo, also sustained injuries from the crash. He is now in stable condition at a local hospital.
Moreover, the family mentioned that there were no operating video cameras in the area at the time of the accident.
Police are now looking for the hit-and-run driver, suspected of speeding at the time of the collision. Authorities seek the public’s help locating a dark-colored vehicle of unknown make and model.
