Oxnard, CA (November 8, 2022) – David Reich (59) of Ventura was identified as the fatality in an alleged DUI hit-and-run crash on Highway 101 in Oxnard. According to VC Star, the crash happened on Sunday around 10:15 pm.
An alleged drunk driver rear-ended David Reich’s motorcycle and fled the scene after the crash on Highway 101 in Oxnard.
Authorities responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a motorcyclist and an alleged drunk driver on Highway 101 in Oxnard.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. He was recently identified as David Reich of Ventura.
According to authorities, Reich was ejected from his motorcycle after a 2018 Honda Civic rear-ended his vehicle. He ended up being hit by several passing cars afterward.
The driver of the said vehicle reportedly fled the scene before the authorities arrived. He was found hours later in Camarillo.
As of a recent report, the driver was booked into county jail on accusations of murder, gross vehicular manslaughter, and felony DUI.
