Bakersfield, CA (October 2, 2023) – A Delano car crash left a 16-year-old teenage boy riding a pocket bike fatally injured. According to KGET, the crash occurred around 7:36 pm on Saturday.

A Delano car crash involving a 16-year-old boy riding a pocket bike and a 17-year-old boy driving a 2019 Ford vehicle occurred westbound on Cecil Avenue, east of Driver Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Ford approached the pocket bike from the back. Consequently, the bicycle rider was ejected from his pocket bike.
Meanwhile, the Ford continued northwest, colliding with a wooden telephone pole before stopping in a dirt field.
Unfortunately, the 16-year-old bike rider suffered fatal injuries during the crash and died at the scene.
On the other hand, the Ford’s driver reported pain. Responders then took him to Delano Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the 18-year-old Ford passenger remained uninjured.
Moreover, CHP officers mentioned that neither alcohol nor drugs seem to be factors in this Delano car crash.
