Bakersfield, CA (January 10, 2024) – Dylan Ray McCutheon (24) of Bakersfield succumbed to fatal injuries after colliding with a vehicle in an Oildale motorcycle crash. According to BakersfieldNow, the accident occurred around 8:20 p.m. on January 4.

Dylan Ray McCutheon, a 24-year-old resident of Bakersfield, succumbed to fatal injuries in an Oildale motorcycle crash on Merle Haggard Drive, as confirmed by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
According to officers, Dylan Ray McCutheon was riding his motorcycle northbound on McCray Street near Merle Haggard Drive.
Simultaneously, a 28-year-old man was driving a Dodge westbound on Merle Haggard Drive, approaching McCray Street.
The investigation by the California Highway Patrol revealed that the Dodge driver proceeded through the intersection on a green light. At the same time, McCutheon, on the motorcycle, crossed the intersection against a red light.
CHP reported that the front of McCutheon’s motorcycle collided with the left side of the Dodge, leading to his ejection onto the roadway. The impact also caused the Dodge to crash with a light pole.
Unfortunately, McCutheon succumbed to fatal injuries.
Meanwhile, the Dodge driver sustained significant injuries.
