According to the report, 24-year-old Elena Hernandez is treated at the North Bay Medical Center in Fairfield.
Security footage revealed a truck colliding with Hernandez as it turned left.
Despite checking both left and right before crossing the street, she did not see the truck coming before it hit her.
Her family and residents speak of the intersection’s dangers, citing numerous near-misses and accidents.
Meanwhile, the local police revealed that the driver who struck Elena Hernandez was unlicensed.
Consequently, police charged the unlicensed driver with a misdemeanor before being released.
Hernandez’s family insists on holding him responsible for his actions.
