Elijah Aragon Succumbed to Fatal Injuries Following a Highway 99 Car Crash in West Central Fresno, CA
Fresno, CA (December 4, 2023) – Elijah Aragon (22) of Fresno sustained fatal injuries in a Highway 99 car crash in West Central Fresno. According to Your Central Valley, the crash happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Monday.

Elijah Aragon, a 22-year-old resident of Fresno, died in a Highway 99 car crash close to the Olive Avenue exit early Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident involved a Lexus ES350 driven by Elijah Aragon and a Nissan Versa driven by 28-year-old Luis Ochoa Lopez.
Moreover, the police reported that Lopez was directly in front of Aragon, who didn’t notice the Nissan in time and collided with its rear.
As a result, Elijah Aragon lost control of his car after the collision, sideswiping a tree on the east shoulder and crashing through a chain-linked fence.
Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on the scene, while Lopez and his passengers escaped injury.
Investigators also found that although Lopez did not cause the accident, he was driving under the influence and subsequently got arrested on suspicion of DUI.
As of now, pending toxicology results, the CHP can’t confirm whether drugs or alcohol were involved on the part of Elijah Aragon.
