Elyzza Guajaca Identified by Family as the Victim in Hyde Park Hit-and-Run Crash
Los Angeles, CA (December 27, 2022) – Elyzza Guajaca (24) was identified by her loved ones as the victim in Hyde Park hit-and-run crash. According to KTLA, the crash was reported around 9:00 pm on Monday.
Elyzza Guajaca was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver during a street takeover on Hyde Park in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash during a street takeover near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and West Florence Avenue on Hyde Park.
A pedestrian was taken to a hospital due to injuries. Unfortunately, she was later pronounced dead. Authorities are yet to confirm the victim’s identity, but her loved ones identified her as Elyzza Guajaca.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to aid the victim’s loved ones.
According to police, a street takeover involving more than 100 vehicles, fireworks, and burning Christmas trees was reported via call.
One of the vehicles then struck Guajaca while it was doing “donuts” at the intersection. It went off the road and crashed into another group of spectators. The driver of the vehicle reportedly left the vehicle and fled the scene.
Several bystanders also sustained injuries.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the driver responsible for this tragic incident may be entitled to a monetary reward.
