Eric Leon Killed in Car Crash in San Luis Obispo
San Luis Obispo, CA (May 31, 2022) – Eric Leon (31) of Coalinga was identified as the driver who died after his vehicle crashed on Cuesta Grade last Thursday. According to KSBY, the crash was reported around 5:45 am.
Eric Leon was found dead at the scene after crashing his vehicle into the guardrails in Cuesta Grade.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Leon’s vehicle collided with the road’s guardrails as he headed southbound. Then, he got ejected from his vehicle.
After the collision, the vehicle went down the hillside and overturned on Cuesta Grade.
Authorities found the engine cold after they arrived. Therefore, they believed that the crash happened hours before it was reported.
