A Suspected DUI Crash in Palm Springs Killed Burbank Resident Erik Verdian
Palm Springs, CA (August 2, 2022) – Erik Verdian (31) of Burbank was identified as the fatality in a suspected DUI crash at the intersection of East Palm Canyon Drive and Sunrise Way in Palm Springs. According to Desert Sun, the crash occurred around 9:07 pm on Saturday.
Erik Verdian died at the scene after a rear-ended crash involving a DUI driver at the intersection of East Palm Canyon Drive and Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.
Authorities responded to a multi-vehicle crash reportedly started by a driver allegedly driving under the influence at the intersection of East Palm Canyon Drive and Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the victim as Erik Verdian of Burbank. Then, the passenger in his car was transported to the hospital due to major injuries.
According to the investigators, a southbound vehicle rear-ended Verdian’s stopped car at the intersection. This initial collision resulted in a chain crash with two other stopped vehicles.
The driver who reportedly caused the crash was identified as Kevin Atteberry of Los Angeles. He sustained major injuries and was also taken to a hospital.
