According to the Fullerton Police Department, the officers responded to South Brookhurst Road and West Oak Avenue where they learned a blue Nissan Rogue and a black GMC Sierra had been involved in the fatal collision.
Then, the investigation brought to light that a 36-year-old male from Anaheim drove the Sierra. According to the report, he was heading south on Brookhurst at the time of the accident.
Simultaneously, the Nissan Rogue, driven by a 65-year-old woman from Fullerton, was traveling north. As it happened, a pedestrian began crossing Brookhurst from the southwest corner of the intersection.
While the Sierra managed to stop for the pedestrian, the Rogue struck her tragically. The police stated that the impact tossed the woman into both the Sierra and the busy intersection.
Sadly, the 67-year-old pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
