According to the CHP, a woman from Cotati was driving her Honda CR-V north on 101 behind a Range Rover.
Further, due to heavy traffic, the Range Rover was moving at a slow pace, whereas the Honda was moving at an unsafe speed, leading to a forceful crash into the back of the Range Rover.
Consequently, the Honda’s driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital, where she later passed away.
Meanwhile, the Range Rover driver, a 48-year-old man from Petaluma, was treated for minor to moderate injuries.
At present, the identity of the deceased woman in this Highway 101 car crash is yet to be released, pending the notification of her family.
