Bakersfield, CA (January 2, 2024) – A Highway 14 head-on crash killed four people, identified as Taylor Camille Romine (23), Rami Abdulrazak (27), Ronald Eric Dene (56), and Gregg Ray Sauer (61). According to the BakersfieldNow, the crash happened around 8:41 p.m. on December 29.

A Highway 14 head-on crash killed four people, identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office as 23-year-old Taylor Camille Romine, 27-year-old Rami Abdulrazak of Yorba Linda, 56-year-old Ronald Eric Dene of Los Angeles, and 61-year-old Gregg Ray Sauer of Lancaster.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Sauer was driving a Mercedes southbound on Highway 14, south of Horse Canyon Road, when he attempted to pass a slower-moving vehicle.
Unfortunately, this led to a head-on collision with a northbound Jeep.
As a result, Sauer and his passenger, Ronald Eric Dene, died in this Highway 14 head-on crash.
Inside the Jeep, two of the three occupants, Romine and Abdulrazak, also lost their lives.
Meanwhile, the sole survivor, a 24-year-old passenger in the Jeep, sustained significant injuries and was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Moreover, a GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to support the family of Rami Abdulrazak.
Similarly, a GoFundMe for Taylor Romine and her sister seeks support for funeral expenses and the recovery of Jordan Romine, the sole survivor of the accident.
