Fresno County, CA (July 24, 2023) – A woman sustained fatal injuries in a Highway 41 multi-car crash in Fresno County. Five others, including a 3-year-old child, also sustained injuries in the crash. According to The Fresno Bee, the crash occurred around 12:48 p.m. on Monday.

The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal Highway 41 multi-car crash involving four vehicles near Elkhorn Avenue southeast of Caruthers in Fresno County.
A woman suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The CalFire also treated five patients, one with major injuries and four with less severe injuries.
The preliminary reports indicate that a northbound Ford F-450 pickup rear-ended a stopped Toyota on Highway 41.
Consequently, the impact pushed the Toyota into another stopped Chevrolet and then further pushed into a large rig trailer.
The Highway 41 multi-car crash remains under investigation.
