Bakersfield, CA (January 4, 2024) – A Highway 99 pedestrian crash north of Olive Drive killed one man after three vehicles struck him. According to the KGET, the crash was reported at 6:34 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on the northbound side of Highway 99, just beyond Olive Drive.

As a result, the force of the collision hurled the pedestrian into another oncoming car.
After falling to the ground, a third car hit the man in the second lane.
Unfortunately, the victim was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
The first vehicle hit the pedestrian and left the scene, heading northbound on Highway 99. There was no immediate description of this vehicle available.
